Flex and TNT - POW! Special

THEATRE NETWORK THANET PRE-POW! EVENT

Flex is a weekly skill-sharing group for local artists and practitioners established by Looping the Loop. This special POW! event is a collaboration with spoken word and literature outfit, Things With Words and offers a session focused on women’s words and voices.

Afterwards, Theatre Network Thanet (TNT) will share a new script from a female writer, followed by a Q&A, networking and drinks.

Celebrated Jazz composer and keyboard player Jessica Lauren will be joined by a four-piece ensemble for a special concert exploring female empowerment.

Expect music from the critically-acclaimed album, Almeria which critics describe as talking in “dreamy vocalese and fierce, free spirited horn playing.”

Cosimo Keita Cadore - Drums

David ‘Booie’ Gallagher - percussion

Support is provided by virtuoso Jazz singer Sabina Desir whose timeless voice consistently captivates and astounds audiences. Sabina is accompanied by keyboard maestro, Frances Knight.
