Nanci & Phoebe are at the forefront of this generation’s jungle sounds.
Their fresh take on the genre breaks all conventions creating a new eclectic sound, mixing hip-hop flows, powerful and provoking lyrics, booming bass lines and stringent bluesy harmonies.
Urban online magazine Who’s Jack describe Nanci’s vocals as “powerful pipes to rival those of Adele and Florence Welch.” Phoebe’s lyrics encapsulate urban living which engage a politically, emotionally-aware audience.
Based in Brixton, the duo have been working closely with Congo Natty – aka Rebel MC who pioneered the jungle movement back in the 90s – since 2009, representing a unity that ignores race, age and social barriers.
With support from local female DJs, this is a party not to be missed.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
